OUR TEAM
Dr. Wright is a 1995 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic and the founder of Hillsboro Sports Medicine. He has a postgraduate degree in sports medicine with the designation of a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician as well as a post graduate degree in Acupuncture. He has served as the team physician for the Hillsboro High School and Jefferson College athletic departments and continues to treat top collegiate and high school athletes from the region.
Dr. Wright treats an array of conditions with an emphasis on educating his patients about their diagnoses, providing quicker than average recovery, and equipping his patients with the means to prevent recurrence.
He offers a variety of treatment options and has experience with many complex neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. Dr. Wright’s unique expertise in the field of Acupuncture has benefited patients with even the most difficult of cases.
Dr. Wright enjoys traveling, golfing, backpacking, and canoeing. He and his wife Carolyn have been blessed with four kids who keep them busy with all their sports and activities, especially with two of them competing in track at the collegiate level.

Joshua R. S. Browning, DC, FIANM
Dr. Josh Browning is a board-certified chiropractic orthopedist, a rare designation less than 2% of chiropractic physicians worldwide obtain. He has expert level training in the advanced diagnostics of complex and difficult conditions related to the neuromuscular and skeletal systems. He remains up to date on the latest research advances within the field and applies these principles to the diagnosis and management of his patients. He prides himself on his approachable demeanor, excellent patient communication, and proven treatment techniques.
Beyond our clinic, Dr. Browning teaches research-based continuing education to chiropractors throughout the country. He is a published author, and his textbook “Evidence-Based Evaluation and Management of Common Spinal Disorders” is used in many chiropractic schools throughout the world.
Dr. Browning developed the healthcare program in use by the Professional Bowlers Association, and previously traveled with and treated the athletes. He developed and manages the inpatient and outpatient chiropractic programs at Mercy Jefferson Hospital, and he oversees the sports medicine program for De Soto School District. Dr. Browning has been with Hillsboro Sports Medicine for 9 years. You may meet his French bulldog Luna, who accompanies him to the office most days. In his spare time Dr. Browning bowls competitively and enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Nicole, and their fur babies.
Mason K. Pratt, DC, MS
Dr. Mason Pratt is a board-certified chiropractic sports and rehabilitation specialist. He graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic, in Chesterfield, MO, in 2023. Dr. Pratt graduated at the top of his class, receiving Summa Cum Laude honors. Dr. Pratt completed both his chiropractic and sports specialty residencies at Hillsboro Sports Medicine, where he gained experience treating over 2,000 unique patient cases. Dr. Pratt has a special interest in sports injury. In addition to traditional chiropractic care, he provides physical therapy/rehabilitation services to many of our patients. Dr. Pratt is a team physician for De Soto School District and Jefferson College Athletics. Beyond HSM, Dr. Pratt is a gifted musician, playing a variety of string instruments. He is active in his church worship band, and he has played multiple paid gigs.
Patty Wondell, LMT
Patty Wondell, LMT, has been a licensed massage therapist since 2019, after completing her training at National Academy of Healing Arts. Upon graduation, Patty founded STL Massage and Breathwork, LLC. She previously operated her practice in conjunction with a chiropractic practice in south county prior to joining HSM. In 2023, Patty joined our team part-time, and eventually expanded to full-time in the spring of 2024. In addition to her massage certification, Patty holds additional certificates in both Reiki and as a breathwork facilitator. Patty says, “My heart is into healing. I feel I’m more of a healing therapist rather than a relaxation therapist. Helping my patients heal through both mind and body.” Patty is married with two daughters, a son-in-law and a dog. She values family time, and she and her family do just about everything together.
