  • Your first visit will occur much like a visit to your regular medical provider. After completing some brief paperwork (unless you’ve completed it online) one of our warm and welcoming assistants will take you to your private room.

Your doctor will then enter and introduce himself, before conducting a detailed health history, including the reasons for your visit. This is often an enjoyable, low-pressure discussion during which we learn more about you in an unrushed format.

Following this, your doctor will provide a physical examination. This may include some orthopedic tests, neurological tests, or additional questions. Afterwards, your doctor will explain your diagnosis, with an emphasis on answering the five questions every patient deserves to know:

What’s wrong with me? Can you help me? What kind of treatment will you offer? How long will it take to fix me? How much will this cost?

Following this, your doctor will begin treatment. If additional tests are needed, we will order these at this point. During treatment, we will make sure to explain everything we do. Following your treatment, you will be escorted to our main desk, where you will be checked out and scheduled for additional visits if necessary

  • Contrary to popular belief, x-rays are rarely needed to begin care with a chiropractic physician. Research has shown that in most cases a thorough history and orthopedic examination are more accurate than x-rays when diagnosing the patient. However, if x-rays are needed, your doctor will refer you to an imaging center with state-of-the-art imaging technology, complete with a radiologist to interpret your images.

  • No way! There is no research supporting long-term treatment plans beyond what is required to correct your initial complaint. Other clinics who sell these plans are often operating as part of a larger practice management group with scripted sales tactics, focused on profits rather than patients. Our doctors will only recommend care that is necessary to resolve your condition.

  • Yes! Chiropractic care is safe for patients of all ages. Your doctor will recommend a specific treatment plan, based in part on your condition, age, overall health, and your input. Additionally, the Journal of the American Medical Association and the New England Journal of Medicine, the nation’s top medical journals, have routinely suggested patients with musculoskeletal pain seek care from a chiropractic physician prior to undergoing surgery or taking pain medicine. For this reason, our doctors are staff physicians at a local hospital, as well as team doctors and consultants for multiple school districts and athletic programs.
